A Journal Page of a 1960's Girl with Sin City Stamps!

I loved this journal page although it started off rocky with my gelatos leaving marks!  But some Nuance powders righted the ship and although not crazy about the stencil color I choose and how it showed up overall I really like this!

I used my own elements for my whimsy girl, the cat reading :), the sentiment and the year!  A good year for wine and older ladies???
The awesome texture stamps are by Seth Apter and are Billboards Cling Rubber Set!  I can't wait to showcase them in their own project but I wanted my hippy chick to have lots of texture and fun going on so they did a fabulous job!
The stamps are from Sin City Stamps of course! and the elements come from a sheet called Fairy Tale Fantasy Figures.
Painted with acrylic paint watered down so the details could come through and the girl and ensemble colored with Spectrum Noir Markers with "explore" and "adventure" die cuts from Tim Holtz.  Words of affirmation come from the stamp sheet!  Great way to get any young girl or lady's self-esteem healthy and strong!

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Challenge #34 "Black and White"

Ok, let's get ready for March's challenge at the The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity   and the theme is Black and White!  Really easy if you think about it so think about it then get those entries into us for a chance to win a chance at some stamps!  I wanted to use the Gibson Girl's Faces set because using black and white made me think of elegance.

I used a stencil from the Artist's Cellar and modeling paste from Liqutex over a piece of  black sparkly fabric.  The some black Distress Ink after the paste dried.  I stamped the girl's faces and fussy cut and glued; I wrapped some of the same black fabric and added a spare junk earring and a label holder.  I used the Party Words set from Lost Coast Designs Stamps  to stamp the sentiment.

I sure hope you will be joining us for this challenge!  I can't wait to see what fabulous things you make to show us!  And as always you can find all the good stuff at The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity  so visit us often so you don't miss out on anything!

March Challenge at Dragons Lair Designs "Anything Goes"

March is here and at Dragons Lair Designs Challenge Blog  the theme is "Anything Goes" my very favorite theme!  So no excuses come play with us!  I have been scrapbooking for my late beloved Daddy!  These kits from Dragons Lair Designs Store make it so easy to make memories last a life time for my children and their children. This makes me happy as their Papaw was a funny man who loved his only child, me, like no other dad I have ever seen!

This was from a visit to the plantations in south Louisiana.  Daddy walked through some moss and I said make a wig and of course he did making us all laugh!  That is his legacy one of laughter and love!  This kit was a Showcase Sunday Freebie but at Dragons Lair Designs Store there are lots of masculine kits you can use for dads, sons, and any guy!

Buy, download, then either work with the items digitally, start digitally then print out and complete your crafting as a hybrid project, or print straight out and do your usual papercrafting.

Walls Using Sin City Stamps!

I know most of my friends know that my friend Kim Johnny is the new owner of Sin City Stamps!  I have been playing up a storm with my first two orders from Sin City and here is one of my all time favorites and it is brand new but I love it!

I used the stamp sheet Barbed Wire Brick Wall and after layering up about 10 layers :) I started embossing and the theme came to me in a jolt!

The face is from the Natural Beauty set but can be purchased separately, also!

Hope you visit Sin City Stamps and start a wish list or buy your favorites!

Special Challenge Month at Dream in Darkness with Sin City Stamps!

What an awesome month this is going to be!  Our own CT Kim is the new owner of Sin City Stamps!!  And to celebrate we are all using Sin City Stamps for the whole month of March!  And that means there will be Sin City Stamps for a prize!  Here is my fun yet darkish make for this month!

This started out as one of my catch all sheets and was a fabulous blue shimmer and green and lots of white spaces.  I took some watercolors and made the light side lighter and the dark side a bit darker.  I wanted to show the ups and downs of Las Vegas with the dark and light sides.  I used every stamp in on the sheet Las Vegas Fun! and what fun it was stamping some on the actual journal page and some on white cardstock that I colored and fussy cut out.  I glued the winning hand and the big cash (which is glued on top of actual shredded money from SilverCrow Creations sent to me by CT Anne) and on the loosing side a small stack of cash and small amount of shreds of cash.  Lots of color play and embossing on Grumbacher modeling paste which turned out fabulously!

I hope you will visit Dream in Darkness Challenge Blog and enter your odd, weird, dark, steampunk, in any media form this month!  And please go to Sin City Stamps and check out all the fabulous stamps Kim has ready for you to order and have in hand to create!

We also have a Sin City Stamps Fan Club on Facebook that we would love to have you join!  We just had two wonderful weekends and gave a ton of stamps away!  Surprise giveaways will happen all the time so make sure you join!

So two things!  Enter at Dream in Darkness and visit and buy something from Sin City Stamps OH! and join our the Sin City Stamps Fan Group on Facebook!
